Old Growth Redwoods and Seascapes

May 8-13, 2018

This year we are offering the Redwoods and Seacoast workshop again for those who missed the first session. We are very excited to announce our adventure in photography featuring the wild rhododendrons, Old Growth Redwoods and seascapes of the northern coast of California.

Many of you have been inquiring into this trip and now I am pleased to offer it to you fro the second edition.

We begin with trips to Prairie Creek Redwoods, fern canyon, and redwood forests with blooming Rhododendrons.

While there we will concentrate on the rhododendrons as well as the most famous redwood grove in the nation, Jedediah Smith. The images on the right are just a few of the opportunities in this area.

Also included are 5 nights lodging, critique sessions, as well as lectures. Our lectures include Lightroom cc, Photoshop CC, advanced layer blending , and HDR applications. You will stay at the Light House Inn in Crescent city.

Our workshops focus around improving your composition skills and getting you to that next level of creative photography. Bob prides himself in that most workshops have up to 90% repeat participants.

The event starts on Tuesday evening with an informal get together and introductions . Early Wed we travel to Prairie Creek for sunrise light. Lunch will be provided for you. That evening we shoot nearby Beaches.

On Thursday will have added a new and dynamic location. Samuel H Boardman state park in Brookings Oregon. There we spend the day shooting dynamic seascapes with sea stacks and beautiful ocean views.

Friday and Saturdays are focused on the many images In Old Growth redwoods.

Travel suggestions:

IF you are flying in for the workshop the best point of entry is San Francisco. OF is possible Santa Rosa also has some flight available.

Many of our photographers are return students that not only enjoy the great locations but learn from Bob each time they attend. His method of teaching is hands on, in the field. The total cost is $1400 per person. A $650 deposit will hold your seat. The balance is due 60 days prior to the workshop. See our cancellation policy for details.
