We are very excited to offer our newest workshop in the Grand Canyon and the slot canyons of Arizona. After many trips to evaluate the locations we have put together what I feel to be the best of both canyon worlds. The grand Canyon is one of the most grandeur locations of our country, and the slot canyons offering the dynamics of light and color with endless opportunities.
The trip begins in Page Arizona with a 2 nights stay at the Best Western Hotel. On Wednesday we are guided on a tour of the Upper Antelope canyons by one of the long time Navajo guides. After our shoot we return to the hotel for lectures and critiques. we will also shoot the famous Horseshoe Bend and surrounding landscapes.
We continually update and enhance our lecture series so if you have attended one of our workshops you will most likely hear new and updated information. The lectures are designed to enhance your knowledge on composition, lighting, Photoshop CS 5 advanced skills, and HDR software, including fine art printing techniques. Our workshops include 4 to 5 days of lectures and critiques that are extremely useful in the progression of composition and technical learning, not just 1 or 2 days as many other workshops do.
We never develop a new workshop without careful and extensive scouting of locations and I always shoot with everyone on location and without any secondary assistants that my not follow my teaching methods.
On Thursday we travel to the Grand Canyon and start our tour of the great canyons. Early morning and late evening colors show the dynamic of this great area. Here we stay for 3 additional nights at the Grand Canyon Squire Inn with upgraded suite accommodations. We conclude on Sunday after a hosted dinner on Saturday night. The transportation is provided by carpooling, however the transportation to and from Page and the Grand Canyon is not included. If you are flying to the workshop, there are 2 good locations. Las Vegas which is 4 1/2 hours from Page or Phoenix which is even less time from the Grand Canyon.
This exciting event is priced at $1525 including all lodging, a lunch, a dinner and all lectures, shoots, Navajo permits and transportation into the slot canyons, and critiques.
A $700 deposit holds your seat in the class. The balance is due 60 days prior. For more information and to register please email us at info@sceniclight.com or call at 916 223 5211
