Eastern Sierra Workshop - Fall Colors

Sep 30- Oct 3, 2010

My favorite shooting location is probably the Eastern Sierra. Full of colors and wonderful light, the photographic opportunities are endless. Now in our 7th year based in Bishop, Ca. Part of the focus of my workshops is to share my vision of the natural world with others. This workshop is designed to offer the best of the grand landscapes of the Eastern Sierra in a 3 1/2 day workshop. As you can see in my images, the color and light are dynamic. I have over 20 years of shooting experience in the Eastern Sierra's, showing my students these spots are all part of our workshops.

The event begins on Thursday morning with field shoot that includes The Owens Valley, Buttermilks, fall aspen color of the canyons and the oldest living things on Earth, the bristlecone pines of the White Mountains and ancient Mono Lake. This year we have added new locations that will also cover the Alabama Hills and Mt. Whitney at first light.

Each day begins with shooting in the early morning followed by lectures and class critique sessions from the previous day's shooting. If you've joined us for one of our workshops before. you know we offer many varied locations. A laptop for editing your images is required for the critique sessions. The lectures include teaching of the color zone system with the use of neutral grad filters, the newest of technologies HDR imaging, composition and form, and a thorough overview of digital fine art printing techniques

The workshop also includes 4 nights accommodations at the Creekside Inn In Bishop. Beginning on Wednesday evening. You can view the hotel accommodations at http://bishopcreekside.com/. Also included in the workshop are all breakfasts, a lunch and a farewell dinner on Saturday evening.

The total for the complete workshop is $1325.00. A deposit of $600 will hold your seat in the class. The balance is due 30 days prior to the workshop date. Please either e-mail us or call at (916) 223-5211 for further details and to register.
