Scheduled
for Sep 25-28, 2008 and
Scheduled
for Oct. 9-12, 2008 Due
to the popularity of this workshop we offer 2 separate sessions. My
favorite shooting location is probably the easter Sierra. Full of colors and wonderful
light, the photographic opportunities are endless. The will be our fifth year
based in Bishop, Ca. Part of the focus of my workshops is to share my vision of
the natural world with others. This workshop is designed to offer the best of
the grand landscapes of the Eastern Sierra in a 3 1/2 day workshop. This
event will begin on Thursday morning with field shoots in many of my favorite
places on earth. The Owens Valley, Buttermilks, fall aspen color of the canyons
and the oldest living things on Earth, the bristlecone pines of the White Mountains
and ancient Mono Lake. Each day begins with shooting
in the early morning followed by lectures and class critique sessions from the
previous day's shooting. Coffee and donuts are provided each day as well as lunch
on one of the days. We invite both film and digital photographers to attend, but
do suggest that SLR cameras are used. The workshop
also includes 4 nights accommodations at the Creekside Inn In Bishop, which is
the location for all critiques and lectures. It offers continental breakfast and
very nice rooms. All of which is included in the course fee.
If you've ever joined us for one of our workshops you know we offer many varied
locations. A laptop for editing your images is required for the critique sessions.
The lectures include teaching of the color zone system with the use of neutral
grad filters, composition and form, and a thorough overview of digital fine art
printing techniques The
total for the complete workshop is $1195. A deposit of $600 will hold your seat
in the class. The balance is due 30 days prior to the workshop date. Please either
e-mail us or call at (916) 223-5211
for further details and to register. This
is a great workshop and one you won't want to miss!
