This
workshop is based in Based in Moab, Utah beginning our class on Wednesday September
23,2009. This is our forth year for this event in Red Rock country. We offer
at least 8 shoots both at sunrise and sunset each day from Wed- Sat.
The
workshop concludes after the critiques session on Sunday.
We
of course focus on the many great locations in Arches National Park as well as
some of the lessor known areas that we have scouted out over the years. In addition
we travel to Canyonlands which is one of the largest and most dramatic parks
in the country. There we will shoot Mesa arch arch sunrise as well as other locations.
All or our workshops are personally taught by Bob Evans who has been providing
skill based workshops for over 14 years. Only 10 participants are allowed to give
everyone ample time to receive hands on instruction from Bob.
Here
is just one of the many comments about Scenic Light workshops, "I've been
interested in scenic photography for many years and it was Bob's workshop, through
the hands on instruction, that gave me what I needed to invigorate my senses.
I now know I can be successful in getting a great scene I'm looking at onto film
- and it looks just as good! Plus having someone to guide me through Utah was
awesome." Eric Olsen -
Here is the photographers
statement from Bob." I am proud of the fact the we have so many return students
at our workshops. I shows me that my efforts to share my knowledge and love of
the natural workshop are appreciated We always conduct our workshops with skill
based learning in mind, that is sharing the information that will make people better
and more successful photographers no matter what their level is."
During
the daylight hours we set up in the conference room at the hotel and provide various
lectures. Composition, lighting, color zone system and Photoshop for fine art
are all included.
Beginning on Thursday we also conduct
critiques of students work.
